Paris based shoegaze band, MASCARA, has released their long awaited debut full length album, ‘Going Postal’, via Fever Ltd.
The band states in regard to the release of ‘Going Postal’: “The album is about what it feels like to live in a world that's falling apart, a world that constantly pushes you to your limits while pretending everything is fine. It's a plunge into modern alienation, into the silent despair that hides beneath the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Each song reflects a different facet of this collapse: the loss of bearings, the weight of inherited pain, the rebellion against a system that crushes you, and the realization that even our escapes often turn into new prisons.
The album oscillates between exhaustion and rebellion, between the desire to disappear and the will to fight. It is dark, intense, and cathartic, like allowing oneself to be broken in order to feel something authentic again. Ultimately, the question remains: can we ever be free, or are we condemned to repeat the same patterns indefinitely?”
With such an emotional weight to this album, MASCARA has used this vulnerability to reach out to their fans, urging the to come to the realization of our reality to make it better.
