German band Tokio Hotels first album in four years will be accompanied by a podcast and Europe arena tour starting on October 28.

Tokio Hotel debut ENCORE, their seventh studio album and first in four years, and share new music video "Perfect Ending" Tokio Hotel share new video for "Perfect Ending" ENCORE single, released today via BELIEVE and available now on CD / LP Tokio Hotel is now delivering seventh studio album ENCORE on 12 tracks, continuing to connect to generations and reach worldwide audiences.

It comes as the band head out on a European arena tour that kicks off October 28 in London. They also have unveiled ENCORE: Tokio Hotel, a 12-episode podcast that delves into the writing and production of the new album. More European shows are lined up for summer 2027, with North American tour dates in the works for later that year.

Since day one, the band has been known for its four band members, childhood friends Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer, who've been in the game over 20 years. Tokio Hotel hit the scene when its members were all teenagers and boasts a global fan base that has only grown.

That outreach has gained new momentum in recent years. Due to the new Netflix series Kaulitz & Kaulitz, the band has also become known to a younger audience, and the band members Bill Kaulitz (vocals) and Tom Kaulitz (guitar) have been announced as guest hosts of the long-running Saturday night television show Wetten, Dass...? In Germany for December 5.

On ENCORE the band draw on the emotional themes that have been a consistent part of their work, but approach them with perspective that has been accumulated over two decades of experience. ENCORE is a 12-song album that embodies issues of change, love, insecurity and defining who you are on your own terms.

Dye My Hair is one of its most definitive tracks, and it's one about getting out of a toxic relationship and living independently. The track's lyrics talk about the sacrifices that you make in order to appease another person, whether it's by distancing yourself from friends, altering your image, or disconnecting from your roots. Instead of dwelling on the damage, it's about acceptance and what it feels like to be in control.

You" is also more honest, providing us with a peek at the band minus the veneer of style that they've maintained throughout their career. The juxtaposition of these two songs reveal a larger theme of ENCORE: the juxtaposition of coming into one's own vs. coming out of one's shell.

But there is also something contemplative about the album. Tokio Hotel, who met at the age of 12 and achieved international fame during their adolescence, have been raised among a fanbase that has been with them every step of the way. ENCORE has a, 'been there, done that' attitude without that being the sole lens through which they view the past.

This results in a record that seems to bring their story up to date, offering that baggage of emotion that fans have come to know from Tokio Hotel while still maintaining an openness to try new ways of seeing the world. With the album out now, a new video out and a European tour just around the corner, the band step into the future, while still looking to those who have been with them from the start and those discovering them now.
