On May 3rd, Windwaker announced that their new album, HYPERVIOLENCE will be released on July 12th via Fearless Records. With five singles out, the Australian metalcore/hyper pop fusion quintet have given fans another taste of what to expect on the upcoming release in the form of a new single titled ‘Get Out’ along with an accompanying music video. ‘Get Out’ marks the band’s six single release, following ‘Break The Rules’, ‘The Wall’, ‘Villain’, ‘Fractured State of Mind’, and the massively streamed ‘SIRENS’.

The three-minute alternative rock jam strays a bit from the technical style of the previous singles and focuses more on catchy and melodic rhythms but continues the band’s experimentation of incorporating hip-hop with its use of phonk samples and having Memphis/Southern hip-hip style verses. The chorus is an anthemic one and Guinane sings it with his chest out, and it’s loud and proud. ‘Get Out’ still have its heavy moments however, and its evident in Crofts’ crunchy riffs and Lalic‘s hard-hitting drumming.
"'Get Out' is about wanting someone (or something) out of your life and conscious thought. It explores the discomfort of something negative returning to the present, and the consequences of staying in a relationship for longer than you should." - Windwaker on ‘Get Out’.
The band is set to make their US debut this summer supporting fellow Aussies Northlane on their Mirror‘s Edge North American Tour 2024. The tour will also see Invent, Animate and Thornhill serving as additional support and will run from June 21st in Seattle, Washington to July 27th in Sacramento, California.

Since emerging onto the scene in 2017, Windwaker have shattered the walls that separate genres to create a truly unique style of music that isn’t common in heavy music. With sonically heavy guitar riffs, catchy pop hooks and elements of hip-hip along with a craving for electronically charged chaos, Windwaker brings metalcore into uncharted territories with every new release offering something new and HYPERVIOLENCE is no exception. Last July, the band released ‘SIRENS,’ and it has cracked over 2.7 million Spotify streams in just a few months time, and it took the band across Australia on the nearly sold out Love In The Dark Tour with Caskets and alt..
The band's debut album Love Language was released in 2022 via Fearless Records and Cooking Vinyl, and it demonstrated an unpredictable and undeniable exploration of love across 12 tracks. Windwaker translate their electric and eclectic energy on record to the live stage, with JB Hi-Fi's STACK Magazine last year reviewing: "From full-on mosh to sensitive slowdance, the five-piece delivered a propulsive statement on the status of modern metalcore." The band have carved their name into the core of Australia's alternative music community and have toured alongside some of metal's most favored acts — Beartooth, I Prevail, Motionless In White, Enter Shikari, Caskets, Creeper, Northlane, and more.
