Vamps Descend on Asbury Park for Nights After Vamp World Tour

Ultraviolet Magazine is back at the Jersey Shore, this time at a sold-out House of Independents for the “Nights After Vamp World Tour,” featuring Pinknoise, Sillygoose, and Magnolia Park. Upon arrival, the line was already wrapped around the venue, as an eclectic mix of fans eagerly waited to pack inside.

The Future of Asbury Is Pink

Arizona-based alternative metal newcomer Pinknoise, fronted by Kacey Foxx hit the stage first. Supporting their latest EP ‘Flesh and Bone’, released via exclusive license to Nettwerk Music Group, the band showcased a unique blend of metalcore intertwined with R&B and catchy pop influences. They opened with “The Future Is Pink,” flowing directly into Neverlast,” which featured a guest appearance from Mike Rafter of local Jersey band Sage. This was followed by “Flesh and Bone” and “Talk Talk.” Each track scratched the itch for metalcore fans while highlighting the versatility of Pinknoise’s vocals.

The second half of the set truly stood out, as their vocal ability took center stage. “Rain,” which has already amassed over 119k views on YouTube in just over a month, drew a strong reaction. Meanwhile, “Landmine” blended its metalcore-rooted breakdowns with atmospheric pop elements and smooth vocal runs. They closed perfectly with “Why Are We Calling It Love,” a track that wraps all those elements into one package: metalcore breakdowns, screams, an infectious chorus, and R&B-style vocal runs. The future is limitless and pink for Pinknoise. Don’t sleep on them; you’ll be seeing a lot more soon.

Silly Goose Brings the Chaos

Next up was Silly Goose, infamous in all the right ways. The viral nu-metal band from Atlanta brought an immediate shift in energy. When they walked on stage, the house lights were still on. no elaborate lighting rig, no backing tracks to set the mood. They were the mood.

Drawing influence from bands like Limp Bizkit and mid-2000s rap-rock, Silly Goose has built a unique cult following. Vocalist Jackson Foster commanded the crowd, summoning a constant stream of crowd surfers, stage divers, and impromptu guest vocals from fans. There was barely a moment for the audience to catch their breath. Even after breaking his nose earlier on the tour, Foster stayed in high spirits, actively helping crowd surfers throughout the set. Standout moments included “Cowboy,” recently featured in the Battlefield franchise, and “Keys to the City,” both from their album ‘Keys to the City.

Magnolia Park Closes the Night

By the time Magnolia Park took the stage, space inside House of Independents was at a premium. The crowd was tightly packed, with barely any room to move. The lights cut out abruptly, replaced by a wash of blood red light over the stage. The ‘Nights After Vamp’ emblem on the mic stand gleamed glistened in the lights.

A voice echoed through the speakers. Aurora X1, the half-human, half-cyborg protagonist from the band’s lore, welcoming the crowd and declaring that tonight’s show would assist in the battle against the Shadow Cult. Now that we have that out of the way, the band members entered the stage one by one triumphantly. They kicked things off with “Animal,” bringing out Ethan Ross, a frequent collaborator who reliably joins them for the track. The set leaned heavily on their latest releases, ‘Nights After Vamp and ‘Vamp, both released via Epitaph Records, showcasing the band’s recent shift toward a heavier sound.

For the encore, the crowd was treated to their set staple cover of “I2I” from The Disney classic A Goofy Movie before closing out the night with their pop-punk anthem “Misfits.”
