Trip-Hop Trailblazer, Eric Hilton, Drops New Single “Beautiful Moment”

Hilton treats the sonic world to a new and delicious single called "Beautiful Moment", ahead of Forthcoming LP, "Midnight Ragas" (coming out 6/20/25). This luscious and chilled out track features the vocal talents of The Infinite Daisy Chains.

For those reading here that are not familiar with the genre of Trip-Hop, let me give you some insight. The genre was born across the pond in England in the 1990s. With a very diverse region that this "Bristol sound" was founded in, it features elements of hip-hop, electronic, lo-fi, reggae, and dub music (yes the Skrillex sound has roots in England to thank as well). It is often very laid back even if led by drum and bass grooves. It is very much downtempo and features jazz instruments and vocals mixed in quite often.

I listened to this track at sunrise for the first time. It was a cinematic moment indeed. I could picture a scene with two lovers gazing out of a second story window taking in the same golden hour as I. Perhaps it was a night that they never let end. The atmospheric vocal pads and assortment of keys support the role. The drums represent the clock ticking even though we're lost in a moment. Sonic layers of hypnotic light-leaks are found throughout this track.
