Rising rock band from Minneapolis, MN The Failsafe returns with a brand new cover of "PSYCHO", originally performed by American country song-writer HARDY. The track was delivered to fans on Friday, September 5th. This cover follows their recent reimagining of Panic! At The Disco's "The Ballad Of Mona Lisa", which you can stream via Ghost Killer Entertainment's 'Pop Goes Hardcore Volume 3' compilation.
"Out of all the covers we recorded, this was the only song originally written by a country artist. We wanted to keep the initial feel and unstableness of the singer/narrator, so Jesse really channeled his inner psycho and it comes across in the performance. It was a blast stepping out of our shell and trying a modern country song in the style of The Failsafe!”
-The Failsafe
I always love when bands cover songs that are a completely different genre. As HARDY is a country artist and has such unique vocal techniques, The Failsafe never fails to put out a good cover. The band kept the song's original form, but they twisted it and put in their own creativity which I love. If you have not yet checked out their Panic! At The Disco's cover of "The Ballad Of Mona Lisa", I would definitely go check that out and show this band some support.
