If you think female artists are soft— think again. Following the release of the “Fear of Fear” I think some fans thought Spiritbox was softening up despite the fact that “Angel Eyes” might be their hardest song ever. “Soft Spine” released September 6th, 2024 will put your worries to ease. This song is an ode to “Holy Roller” in my mind it has the same cryptic, dark, lyrics, and a catchy as hell signature Spiritbox crunch to it. I have often searched for female fronted bands because I adore the way Courtney Laplante's voice sounds both for her dirty and clean vocals, but so far no one quite compares. I have no doubt this band has inspired thousands including me, so I know they’re out there and I won't stop looking. Spiritbox’s “Jaded” was nominated for the 2024 Best Metal Performance Grammy. Unfortunately they lost to Metallica, but it’s hard to complain about that. You can catch Spiritbox on Korn’s current US tour along with olympic opening ceremony stars Gojira.
