RADIAN: Akron, Ohio Sludge Metal Crew Alumni Announces Spring 2025 Tour Dates; Third LP Nears Completion

The sludge metal band RADIAN from Akron, Ohio, have announced tour dates across the Eastern USA for spring. The onslaught begins with three shows in April, including their performance at Legalize Lex Fest in Lexington, KY. Most of the dates are between May 16th and May 27th, where the band will cover most of the mid-Atlantic and southeast areas, followed by a standalone show in June. More shows are expected to be added in the following months, but for now, all confirmed tour dates are listed below.

Radian formed when Mike Burns wanted to start a new project after Rue and Sofa King Killer. RADIAN are devoted to secular groove metal. The formation of their groups seamlessly merge groove and grime. Their sludgy assault was achieved in their LP ‘Chapters ‘ and with the praise of other Online Metal Communities and fans – it surely did wonders in enhancing their success.

This energy resulted in the composition and release of their brutal second album Discordian, which came out on Burns’ El Burno Records in December 2021. Relentless shows and tours in support of Discordian brought both progress and strife to the band with many lineup changes along the way. By Fall 2022, the Omnnus drummer Derek Vaive has joined the ranks, later to be joined in Fall 2024 by A Damn Shame vocalist Corey Staley completing the new lineup. Now with new unmixed material and a fresh sense of purpose, RADIAN plans to go back on the road again in Spring 2025, unleashing their sludgy doom with devastating precision.

RADIAN is now in the final stages of finishing their third LP. Stay tuned as the album announcement is prepped in the coming months.
