Quadeca Releases 'FORGONE' and Finally Reveals Release Month For Upcoming Album, 'Vanisher, Horizon Scraper'

With each passing month, the world of Vanisher, Horizon Scraper continues to grow. On June 12th, legendary producer, singer, and visual artist, Quadeca, released the third single off his upcoming project titled ‘FORGONE’.

The track is this eight-minute masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of Quadeca’s sound. ‘FORGONE’ is a piano ballad that is both delicate and reflective, one that resembles being on the outside looking in, as if we’re watching Quadeca work out these emotions in real time. The piano is paired with an ethereal vocal chorus, bringing in these gospel-inspired harmonies. Quadeca’s own vocal performance is, of course, mindblowing as well, a true testament to his range as a musician. ‘FORGONE’ as a whole has this emotional build-up throughout it, with the rhythm becoming more pronounced and the melody of string instruments weaving into that, accenting into this crescendo that brings listeners to an uplifting climax.

Similar to the other singles that were released, ‘FORGONE’ was accompanied by a music video that Quadeca directed himself. The song and the visuals are this perfect pair, with the video mirroring the song's emotional weight and introspective tone. There’s a lack of background, with the scenery giving this liminal feeling. With only the rolling tide, passing seagulls, and a giant mountain to distract us, watchers are forced to place their attention on Quadeca playing ‘FORGONE’ on his Vanisher, Horizon Scraper-branded piano. There’s a moment towards the end where Quadeca is visibly anguished, head in his hands, that is impeccably moving, especially as he slides away from his instrument and turns towards the rising tide, walking until he’s partially submerged, as if he’s letting the ocean engulf him, putting an end to his turmoil.

Alongside ‘FORGONE’, Quadeca has announced an official release month for Vanisher, Horizon Scraper. It will be released sometime this July via Quadeca’s own label, X8 Music.
