Ohio metalcore band Miss May I have just dropped their latest single, “Pray For Silence,” along with a music video via Solid State Records. The music video can be watched HERE

“Pray For Silence” is an extremely rhythmically driven song, focusing heavily on a triplet riff matched to perfection by the kick drums. The song is tied together by Ryan Neff’s clean vocals with a hint of screams from Levi Benton. . As one comment on the music video reads, “this song is perfect for everyone who’s fighting their demons.”

The video is entirely black and white and in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It intersplices clips of the band performing on a white soundstage with clips of the band members dressed as knights on a medieval journey.

Miss May I consists of vocalist Levi Benton, vocalist/bassist Ryan Neff, guitarist Elisha Mullins, and drummer Jerod Boyd. The band was formed in the small town of Troy, Ohio in 2007 and have since become a staple of the metalcore genre.

"I don't think we could have chosen a more honest and heartfelt song for our first release as the new lineup than 'Pray For Silence.’ As life grows heavier and the world feels like it's at a breaking point, this song captures something we all crave — some peace, even just for a moment."

Miss May I will be heading on a US/Canada tour starting on September 9 and going for exactly a month until October 9. They will be supporting Blessthefall alongside Dark Divine and Colorblind. The band will take a month off the road before heading to Orlando, FL in mid-November for Warped Tour.
