Killer Mike has just unveiled a vibrant new video for his poignant track “Nobody Knows,” coinciding with the final performance of his highly successful and sold-out tour, “STILL TALK’N THAT SH*T!”, which he co-headlined alongside the legendary Dave Chappelle. The video serves as a dynamic recap of Mike’s exhilarating year as he traversed the stages of the United States, Canada, and Europe with his gospel ensemble, The Mighty Midnight Revival. It captures highlights from this remarkable journey, including not only the tour with Chappelle but also performances at renowned festivals such as Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival, and Outside Lands.
The footage showcases his powerful presence while performing with the National Symphony Orchestra at the esteemed Kennedy Center, as well as the excitement of a six-show residency at New York City’s iconic Blue Note Jazz Club and more. This video is a fitting tribute to a monumental year for the accomplished MC, which began with a triumphant sweep of the rap categories at the Grammy Awards and continued with him receiving the prestigious Album of the Year honor at the BET Awards. Throughout the year, he made headlines by releasing a standalone single titled “Detonator,” produced by EL-P, as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 promotion. Additionally, he partnered with TI to breathe new life into Atlanta’s historic Bankhead Seafood and delivered an inspiring speech during the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony for the legendary Otis Redding, among a multitude of other noteworthy achievements.
“Nobody Knows” is featured on his latest project, Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival: Songs For Sinners & Saints, which debuted impressively at #5 on the Rap Charts following the release of its CD and LP on November 22. This 11-track collection was initially offered as a free download to fans alongside its streaming release in July, designed as a reflective epilogue to last year's deeply personal album, MICHAEL. In discussing the project, Killer Mike expressed, "For me, this is a testimonial. Growing up, a significant aspect of church services was the opportunity for individuals to stand and share their personal testimonies about their struggles, challenges, and victories.
After the celebratory feeling that followed MICHAEL, I was reminded that tribulations are an ongoing part of life, but God remains my constant companion. This project is a reflection of my tumultuous journey, my trials, and the persistent triumphs I experience despite doubt, hostility, and fear. I am here to connect with my fellow sinners and saints.”
