Pop superstar Kesha has been relentless with the album rollout for her upcoming project titled . (PERIOD) these past few weeks. The artist's sixth studio album is set to release on July 4th via Kesha Records and will feature 11 tracks, with 4 of them already being out on streaming. Alongside releasing singles, Kesha has been promoting . (PERIOD) through releasing remixes and changing up the album art of her past projects, leaving small reminders about the upcoming release across more than her social media platforms. On May 16th, Kesha released her fourth single, ‘BOY CRAZY.’ This track is unlike anything else we’ve heard from the . (PERIOD) era thus far. ‘BOY CRAZY.’ opens with this chopped robotic voice repeating the phrase “I’m Boy Crazy” in a way that feels reminiscent of Snow Strippers ‘Sick’. It then launches into this steady pulsating bass that acts as a foundation for the entire track, being more prominent in the verses and muted within the chorus. Various synths, drum beats, and other chopped vocals are then layered on top, creating this EDM soundscape that almost borders into Hyperpop.

Earlier in the week, prior to ‘BOY CRAZY.’’s release, Kesha appeared as a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show. During her appearance, the pop star shared her love of nature, broke down what it was like living on a hippie commune, and wrapped up her personal stories with tales from adventures ghost hunting with her mom. Kesha and Hudson also talked music, of course, discussing what fans can expect from the upcoming album, and how this new music will translate onto the stage for Kesha's summer tour.
