Shortly after major EU/UK festival appearances and a tour supporting nu-metal icons Kittie, Holy Wars released their new single “Crucify” via Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. The track follows their emotional single “I Feel Everything”, which was released in May. Watch the official music video below:

Crucify” is a hard-hitting track, both lyrically and sonically, where the listener can feel the pent-up rage communicated from the song. A scathing anthem of revenge, the song is a rollercoaster of emotion that promotes regaining power and agency within oneself. The heavy “Crucify” was also co-written and co-produced by Cody Quistad of Wage War.

Vocalist Kat Leon explains the inspiration behind the song: 'Crucify' was written as a reckoning. Years ago, I got out of a toxic relationship — the last words my ex said to me were, “I wish you nothing but the worst.” Within six months, both of my parents had passed away. I’ve carried the weight of those words like a curse, buried in grief and silence until now. Writing 'Crucify' became my way of purging that pain and finally reclaiming my power.

Crucify” is just the beginning of a new era for Holy Wars, who have been rapidly growing within the scene in the past few years. In 2023, they joined rising rockstars The Warning on their nationwide US and Mexico tour, and in 2024, they joined rock legends Evanescence for several sold-out arena shows in Puerto Rico, and also several festival appearances such as Rock Fest, Rocklahoma, Inkcarceration, Knotfest Iowa, and Mayhem Festival.

This year, Holy Wars has done a run of several major festivals in the EU/UK, such as Download Festival, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, and Rock For People. They also supported Kittie on their EU/UK tour in the midst of their festival appearances. Holy Wars is quickly becoming a major upcoming name in the rock scene, and will only continue to grow.
