It’s hard to believe that Heart Attack Man is on their fourth studio album already, but alas the boys are back with a new smash record titled Joyride The Pale Horse. With earlier punk anthems under their discography like ‘Leap Year’, ‘Fake Blood’, and ‘Freak Of Nature’, this band set themselves an already high ceiling to surpass in terms of quality. With a trilogy of albums under their belt prior to this release as well as eleven years of being active, many bands tend to wind down at this stage in the game. With that said, this is sure to appease fans of the band as well as solidifying the argument that this is indeed Heart Attack Man’s best work yet.
While similar bands in their side of the scene approach lyrical topics like breakups, heartache, and leaving a town they hate, Heart Attack Man takes it a step further speaking on concepts of death and existential dread. Contrasting with that is the fun and catchy upbeat palm mutey power chords that everyone knows and loves. The overall quality, production, and lyrical content is sure to resonate with people in the alternative music space and is sure to take this band to new heights that they have likely not seen before.
Heart Attack Man will be hitting the road this spring and summer and will be playing loads of tracks off this new record. They’ll be hitting Australia in support of Dear Seattle, as well as going to the UK with Free Throw, which will be circling around a performance at the iconic Slam Dunk Music Festival. Followed by that will be a North American leg with Dear Seattle, carpool, and The Dirty Nil all acting as support.
