Dying Wish Release Jaw Dropping New Single "I Brought You My Soul (Your World Brought Me Despair)"

Rising from Portland, Oregon, Dying Wish are absolutely destroyign it in 2025. The band has shared another explosive music video for brand new single  "I Brought You My Soul (Your World Brought Me Despair)." The new single was produced by Will Putney. This new single definitely brings out the new era of the band as front woman Emma Boster explores different vocal ranges and melodies, while continuing to still bring out Dying Wish's sound. Her screams in this new track absolutely are terrifying (in a good way) and I am all here for it.

"'I Brought You My Soul...' is written about being one of many affected by the state of the world we are living in," Boster shares. "Constantly witnessing the brutality and injustices has taken a toll on our collective mental health. [The lyric] 'I am miserable yet I am sane' references that being impacted by these tragedies happening in Gaza and on our own American soil in fact makes us normal. I fear that one day we will become numb to the events as they become more violent because we are so conditioned to living with it every day."

"This is the first step in the direction of our third LP and the goal from this album is to challenge ourselves to create something different from the first two releases. Throughout the last four years of those records we have dialed in our sound and ethos as a band. We hope that the artwork direction proves as an example that we're innovating our style to become the most authentic version of Dying Wish."

The music video that you are about to see is full of pure energy and matches the songs rhythm of its fast tempo. I remember when Dying Wish announced they were doing a free music video shoot in Amityville, NY, I immediately called my friends and was like "We are definitely going no matter what". From my perspective, a LOT was going on as you can see in the music video. Inside the newly renovated Amityville Music Hall, you were in a room with very bright white lights, and a crowd full of people and camera crew. This was my third time witnessing a music video shoot and this one definitely stood out to me the most. As soon as the cameras started rolling, I was immediately getting crowd killed and pushed around. It had to have been the most fun crowd I've ever been in. The talent this band has amazes me and I've caught Dying Wish live once before and Emma's vocals are absolutely to die for. It kind of felt like everybody there was one giant family.
