On August 7th, Long Island Metalcore band Deadlands releases hard crushing, heavy single "Villain". Deadlands, formed in early 2022, consists of vocalist Kasey Karlsen, guitarist/producer CJ Arey and Kyle OBraitis on drums. This band has made previous releases such as their EP 'Sentence Of Myself', and their previous single "House Of Cards". As the song culminates, the protagonist embraces their role as the 'villain,' illustrating how the fight against pride can lead to a dark realization of one's own power by succumbing to the sin, losing themselves and ultimately their life in the process."
