David Anthony Burke, aka D4vd announced the official cancelation of his current U.S. tour on September 20th following the discovery of a mutilated body in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to David on September 8th, 2025.
D4vd cancelled his Seattle, WA stop on September 16th and later went on to cancel his entire tour (U.S. and European) on September 20th after the home he had been occupying in Hollywood Hills was searched in relation to the case on September 17th. TMZ reported that LAPD exited the home with a computer and several evidence bags in hand.
Los Angeles Police Department was called to an impound lot to investigate the vehicle around 12:30PM after someone complained about a foul odor, confirmed by PEOPLE Magazine. The body was found in a bag, mutilated, and wearing a tube top, black leggings, a distinct yellow bracelet, and stud earrings. The car had been towed to the lot approximately 2 days prior to the body being found after having been abandoned in the Bird Streets neighborhood of Hollywood Hills, CA near a home where D4vd has reportedly been staying.
Approximately 1 week after finding the body, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the remains as missing 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. They also reported her as having been placed in the trunk at least 5 days prior to the vehicle being towed to the impound lot and have her cause of death currently as “deferred”. Deferred meaning they’re still determining the cause and manner of death.
While an official connection between David Burke and Celeste Rivas has yet to be confirmed by authorities, the internet is doing what it does best and taking some matters of the investigation into its own hands.

Rivas went missing on April 5th, 2024 at the age of 13 from Lake Elsinore and the remainder of her disappearance remains a mystery at this time.
Screenshots provided by a fan from d4vd’s fan serve reportedly show clear messages between him and a user with the name Celeste from early 2022, making Celeste 11 years old at the time of the interactions. Later in 2024, rumors of a romantic relationship surfaced which were also discussed in the server. This information matches with other sources close to the family that say shortly before Celeste went missing, she claimed to friends and family that she had a boyfriend named David with unfortunately no last name provided.
Other sources also say that she was seen by police in a Hollywood Hills home with the artist approximately a year prior to her death.
The medical examiner’s office released to the LA Times that Rivas had a tattoo on her right index finger that simply read “Shhh”. Meanwhile, a photo of D4vd was taken in September of 2024 during a performance that clearly shows a similar “Shhh” tattoo on his matching right index finger. Los Angeles authorities have not yet spoken on this coincidence in any official capacity.
Fans are also bringing up things about his music videos stating that the girls selected to appear all look “creepily” similar to Celeste in a lot of ways; height, build, hair, and complexion.
While everything remains speculation at this point in time, there is one piece of news that really has everyone convinced of his involvement. On September 21st, Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that infant remains were found behind the De Ford De Villa located near D4vd’s current residence and prenatal reports regarding Celeste were found on the laptop taken during the September 17th search warrant of his residence. Bringing fans to speculate that celeste was in fact pregnant at one point in time. Photos, live streams, and videos of public appearances have also since surfaced showing both David and Celeste together where Celeste appeared to have a bulge in her abdomen.
D4vd started out on Youtube as a video game content creator before going on to pursue a career in the music industry. He became well known after his 2022 release of his hit song “Here With Me” that quickly became a popular audio for Tiktok videos. David was previously announced as the face of Crocs and Hollister’s “Dream Drop” collection but was quickly removed from the campaign following the discovery of Celeste’s remains.
Celeste’s family has broken their silence, releasing a statement that said “As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week. She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are seeking help to lay her body to rest. D4vd has yet to personally comment on the investigation or Rivas’ death.
