The tour will begin in Brisbane at The Tivoli on Thursday May 1 and will rip through Newcastle's King St Bandroom on May 2, Sydney's Liberty Hall on May 3, Canberra's UC Hub on May 4, Alter in Hobart on May 6, Wool Exchange in Geelong on May 8, 170 Russell in Melbourne on May 9, The Gov in Adelaide on May 10 and will come to a close at Magnet House in Perth on Sunday May 11.
Since forming in 2007, Chelsea Grin have built a reputation as one of the most unrelentingly heavy bands in modern metal. Known for their crushing breakdowns and signature guttural vocals, the Salt Lake City outfit have remained a dominant force in deathcore for nearly two decades. Australian fans have had plenty of chances to see them tear up stages, from their early days playing Soundwave Festival to their 2023 tour with Thy Art Is Murder. With multiple albums under their belt, including the double LP ‘Suffer In Hell / Suffer In Heaven’, they continue to push the boundaries of their genre. Expect their set to be nothing short of punishing.
Connecticut’s Currents have quickly earned their place in modern metalcore, thanks to their mix of raw emotion and explosive sound. Their music speaks to anyone who’s dealt with personal struggle, finding meaning in a world full of uncertainty. Over the years, they've built a strong fanbase through constant touring, opening for bands like Ice Nine Kills, As I Lay Dying, Fit For A King, We Came As Romans, and Thy Art Is Murder.
Their latest album, ‘The Death We Seek’, is a perfect example of their growth as a band. It’s heavy, it’s dark, and it’s filled with melodies that stick with you long after you’ve heard them. If you saw them in 2023 on Polaris’ Fatalism Tour, you already know they bring an unforgettable energy to the stage. For everyone else, this is your chance to see what all the hype is about.
Hailing from Sydney, Bloom have been making a serious impact on the Australian heavy scene with their emotionally raw and powerful sound. Their music taps into the heart of life’s struggles—grief, love, and personal transformation—delivered through intense, heartfelt lyrics. With their debut album, ‘Maybe In Another Life’, they’ve gained recognition not just locally but internationally, earning praise from critics and fans alike.
Bloom’s blend of heavy riffs and soaring melodies makes their live shows an experience, one that balances between crushing moments of intensity and deeply emotional, reflective ones. 2024 has already been a big year for the band, with non-stop touring and their first international run in North America alongside Miss May I. Now, they’re ready to take on the Australian stages once again, and fans won’t want to miss what they’ve got lined up.
HEAVENSGATE will kick off the night, setting the stage for an unforgettable show. Emerging in late 2022, they brought fresh energy to the alternative scene with their intense debut single, CHEMICAL HEAVEN, paving the way for their first EP, AND ALL I LOVED, I LOVED ALONE, released through Greyscale Records. The EP features co-writing and production from Greyscale’s own Joshua Ang (Pincer+), drum production by metal visionary Erik Bickerstaffe (Loathe), and mixing/mastering by Buster Odeholm (Thrown, Humanity’s Last Breath). With this release, HEAVENSGATE cemented their place as one of the most thrilling new forces in modern metal.
