Beartooth Share Glamorous New Album 'Pure Ecstasy'

Friday, August 28th, 2026, Ohio based metal act Beartooth has just dropped their brand new album 'Pure Ecstasy' via Fearless Records. This record marks as their first full-length album since signing with Fearless Records. 'Pure Ecstasy' was mainly written, recorded and produced by frontman Caleb Shomo. The band was able to bring the album to life with the collaboration from Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Halsey, Poppy).
Frontman Caleb Shomo earlier in the year has announced he is a proud gay man and he finally found his true colors. Within this album, you can definitely hear how far he has come with his life and how happy he truly feels. I am so proud of the band for this remarkable growth and I cannot wait to see where this album takes them. You can definitely feel the raw energy that comes into play. In regards to their title track "Pure Ecstasy", Shomo shares, "Pure Ecstasy was birthed in a studio with Misha Mansoor, ridiculous loudspeakers, and the dumbest heaviest chugs we could chug... Once it was brought home and expanded on with Jordan Fish, there was no question it was the album opener." Raw, overwhelming, and disorienting in all the right ways, it's an undeniable statement of intent.
When discussing the track "Free", Shomo shares, "The song is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life... the emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day you can equally experience pure fear and pure joy. Free is the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make."
“There are so many fun riffs to play on Eyes Closed.. It was so fun to scream out and let go. The song was written from the ground up with Jordan, and the moment it was a demo, we knew we had something special.” Shomo adds “Beautiful Again was the first song written during the sessions with Jordan after we wrote free a few months prior. He was adamant that I dig in and write about exactly what I’m going through and how I feel. To me, this song perfectly depicts the duality of my headspace while writing the album. Pure joy and pure despair, nothing in between.”
This fall, Beartooth will be bringing 'Pure Ecstasy' to North America with special guests Don Broco, Windwaker and Magnolia Park as support. The tour is set to kick off on November 11th in Boston, Massachusetts and will conclude December 19th in Wheatland, California. Full dates are below.
