Formed in 2014 in Wagga Wagga New South Wales and relocated to Melbourne Australia in 2015, Windwaker has become a leading force in the global metalcore/metal scene. Known for their unique Hyperpop-metal sound as well as their hardcore/heavy stuff , the band often blends heavy breakdowns with melodic hooks.
The band’s success and growth extends past just the music! —they’ve headlined major festivals like Download,Good things and UNIFY, while selling out countless tours. They have also collaborations and shared the stage with bands like Beartooth, Slave, The Amity Aflliction, Northlane and Tonight Alive, Their latest album, Hyperviolence (2024), showcases their continued evolution, and just proves that Windwaker continues to make waves and that they deserve all the growth and sold out shows, they work hard and it resonates in their work.
Their discography includes several albums and Ep’s, including Fade (2017), Empire (2019), Love Language (20223), Hyperviolence (2024); as well as a BUNCH of singles over the years.
Speaking of Successful bands and their achivements Thousand Below, the Post-Hardcore American Based band has made huge waves since early 2022 in Australia alone, crossing the waters more than once for tours with bands like Ocean Sleeper, Thornhill and Holding Absence, and now crossing the ocean once more to support the boys in Windwaker on their tour, Thousand Below are PERFECT for this tour bringing their well known mix of post-hardcore and melodic riffs, their lyrics and powerful lyrics hit just as hard on the emotions as their breakdowns do, mixing the softer more vulnerable instrumentals with the heavier vocals.
Modern nu-metal outfit Diamond Construct joining the tour is another solid choice, bringing along their well known album ‘’Angel Killer Zero’’ released mid 2024 via Greyscale Records and Pale Chord with over a million streams and well and truly counting, Angel Killer Zero helped to further Cement the bands roots and place in the scene, with one of the most loyal fan bans out there, it's clear that the best place for Diamond Construct is big venues and even bigger stages touring with Australian bands like Justice For the Damned Alpha Wolf and Thornhill, it's clear that they have earned their place and the love of their fans all across the world.
And to finish off one of the most insane lineups to date, Brisbane heavy hitters Headwreck have plenty to offer, having recently dropped their most successful single, Buzzsaw, these legends are racking up hundreds of thousands of streams digitally, and accumulated a lot of accolades in terms of features and tour collaborations, being featured on ABC rage, the Channel 7 AFL, Triple J, Unearthed, and PLENTY of other places, and sold out shows and tours with bands like Invent Animate, Thornhill, The Story So Far and Paledusk, really this band just speaks for itself as to why they deserve all their success over the years.
