The Thunderfist Chronicles follows up their massive seventh album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum, which climbed to #5 on the US Current Hard Music and Top New Artist Albums charts, hit #7 in Germany, and racked up even more accolades worldwide. After last year’s Voyage of the Dead Marauder EP and a relentless tour schedule, ALESTORM is back for another round of pure mayhem! With this new album, they prove once again why they reign supreme over the high seas of metal. So, grab your rum—things are about to get wild!
Frontman Christopher Bowes had this to say about the record: “This album is weird, and I already regret how difficult some of the riffs are. But there’s a ton of cool stuff to dig into—we covered a song by our friends in Nekrogoblikon, packed in a bunch of heavy tracks, and even included the longest song I’ve ever written (over 17 minutes!). It features guest vocals from Patty Gurdy (the ultimate hurdy-gurdy queen) and Sir Russell Allen from Symphony X—who also happens to be my favorite vocalist ever.”
