Vans Warped Tour 30th Anniversary Reboot is Official

Calling all Emo’s! Vans Warped Tour 2025 has finally been confirmed after much speculation over the last few weeks and fans are absolutely buzzing. In this piece we will be going over the history of Warped Tour, what we know so far about the 2025 festival, and where you can get your tickets for the highly anticipated nostalgic reboot.

Slip on your vans and grab your clear backpacks because we’re going back in time to revisit Warped Tour over the years. Founded by Kevin Lyman in 1995, Warped Tour started off on June 21st in Boise, Idaho and ended on August 18th in Detroit, Michigan. Some bands involved in the original festival line up were The Offspring, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and NOFX. Even though Warped Tour started off as an alternative rock festival, it eventually spread out over several other genres such as metal, post-hardcore, hip-hop, pop, and others. From then on, everyone was aware of Warped Tour and wanted in on the action. The festival went on to be the largest tour festival in North America with 750,000 annual attendees and even visited Canada and Australia at different points in time. Some other bands that were involved in the later years included big names like Green Day, Blink 182, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Pierce the Veil, Fall Out Boy, Katy Perry and so many more. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and founder Kevin Lyman decided that year would have to be 2018. He stated in an interview that he was discontinuing the festival because of “fan elitism and the loss of a community” but later decided to do one last run with only three tours in 2019 as a dedication to the festivals then upcoming 25th Anniversary.

Fans spread across TWO continents were devastated to say the least but have resurfaced following the Vans Warped Tour 30th Anniversary announcement. Rumors of a Warped Tour “reboot” surfaced in September of 2024 following the statement of none other than Lyman himself. “We have something cooking for 2025” he said following up with “Details should be ready in a few weeks”. The reboot was officially announced on October 17th, 2024 along with dates, venues, and a few of its sponsors. Vendors that have been confirmed include Beatbox, Vans, Ernie Ball, hiyo, 805 Beer, and GHOST® Energy. 2025 will consist of 3 tour dates spanning from June to November hosting 70-100 bands per stop. Starting in Washington, D.C. at Festival Grounds at RFK Campus June 14th-15th. Then traveling to Long Beach, California at Shoreline Waterfront July 26th-27th. And ending in Orlando, Florida at the Camping World Stadium Campus on November 15th-16th. Full lineups have yet to be announced but are currently set to be at a later date. So, keep up with the Warped Tour social media accounts to stay in the know.
