The White Stripes, the famed retired duo of Jack and Meg White, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on November 8. Although the Rock Hall is located in Cleveland, Ohio, the induction ceremony happened at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The band was officially inducted by punk legend Iggy Pop. Although known for being a duo, only Jack White was present to accept the award, as Meg has been out of the public eye since the band’s dissolution.

“I spoke with Meg White the other day, and she said that she’s very sorry she couldn’t make it here tonight, but she wanted me to tell you that she’s very grateful. And to all of the folks who supported her in all the years, it really means a lot to her. She also helped me write all this… I sent these things to her. She checked it for me for a lot of punctuation and corrections. She’s pretty good at that.”

To play off their induction into the Rock Hall, Twenty One Pilots performed the band’s iconic hit “Seven Nation Army” and pop star Olivia Rodrigo alongside Feist performed “We’re Going to be Friends.”

The White Stripes were inducted in the class of 2025 along with bands such as Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper, OutKast, Bad Company and more.
