Fresh from a year of electrifying performances at Wacken Open Air, Midgardsblot, and dates with The Hu, Eihwar is back to pull the world deeper into their Viking war trance with their upcoming sophomore album, Hugrheim.

“…hale, infectious energy that'll make you want to move around, without losing any of the impressive, epic sounds that have made the Nordic folk scene so revered”, Metal Hammer wrote in naming the album’s lead single “Nauðiz” a best song of the week. Today, Eihwar is releasing their third single from Hugrheim. A ritualistic tribute to the Allfather, “Heill Óðinn” channels the resurgence of ancient memory and the echo of a forgotten world slowly coming back to life. Watch the official video for “Heill Óðinn” on Eihwar’s YouTube channel.
“Heill Óðinn” marks a decisive moment in the unfolding narrative of Hugrheim. Rooted in the mythology of the hidden tenth world of Yggdrasil, through this song, the spirit takes shape, and memory becomes prophecy.
Minni fornra tíða kemr til vár smám saman / Í dag minnumk ek morgundags
“The memory of ancient times is slowly returning to us. Today, we remember tomorrow.”
Driven by the pounding of ritual drums, trance-inducing chants, and a chorus that echoes like a call from the spear-mountains of Hugrheim, “Heill Óðinn” pays tribute to the wanderer god who treads between worlds. Eihwar strikes with a hybrid force: shamanic percussion that collides with industrial undertones and Nordic folk instrumentation, creating an anthem that is both ceremonial and primal.
