Pop-rock band Morning In May has joined the Ghost Killer Entertainment roster and released their cover of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" on October 18th. Morning In May is a band that is based in Nashville, Tennessee and kicked off their career back in 2016. Members of the band consist of Jake Bartolic (lead vocalist), Scott Vallina (guitarist), Christian Adams (bassist), and lastly Andrew Campofredano (drums).

"Signing to Ghost Killer Entertainment was the best deal for us and felt like they were right in our wheelhouse. They work close with We Are Triumphant and we were smoothly handed over."

Ever heard of a pop-rock cover of Chappell Roan? Well I never even listened to Chappell Roan before until the other day... which was that trending song "HOT TO GO" but what can I say? These guys absolutely killed this cover. Morning In May has put their creative spin on Chappell Roan’s "Pink Pony Club," giving fans a blend with extremely powerful vocals with a modern pop-rock twist. While staying true to the original, the band adds their unique touch. If I didn't know this was a cover, I would assume that this would've been another original single from the band because of how unique it is.

"We covered pink pony club because every once in a while I hear a song that really catches me. It’s always in different genres. But when I get that song that just attaches to me. It feels like the universe tapping in. As cheesy as it is, the covers pick me." - Jake Bartolic, lead vocalist.

Since Warped Tour's 30th year anniversary comeback has been announced, maybe we could catch Morning In May bringing their chaotic energy to life since they have played the last Warped Tour which took place back in 2018. This band has played shows and with well-known bands such as Hawthorne Heights, Escape The Fate, Asking Alexandria, Ice Nine Kills and many more. This past spring, the band was seen performing with If Not For Me in Ohio (if you haven't checked that band out either, you are missing out).

This past August, the band has released their latest single prior to this cover called "Laughter On Death Row". It sort of reminds me of All Time Low, Blink-182 and those other nostalgic early 2000's pop-rock alternative bands. Vocalist Jake Bartolic puts so much expression within the song lyrics and the band as a whole gives such fun vibes within their aesthetic. Bartolic told fans about the single "I wrote “Laughter On Death Row” because it’s so hard to get noticed nowadays. We’re all fighting through the noise for recognition. I always make the joke that you have to commit a crime to be seen.”
