After announcing the release in August last year, Megadeth have released their self titled final studio album on the 23rd of January, 2026. Released alongside the album, is Megadeth’s new film, “Megadeth: Behind The Mask”, A new Documentary covering the 40+ years of the band with exclusive, not yet seen content.

The new album consists of 10 songs with a bonus song, “Ride The Lightning”, which is a fresh new take on the songs that Dave Mustaine wrote with his famed previous band, Metallica. We were treated to a few early released songs from the album, those being “Tipping Point”, “I Don’t Care”, “Let There Be Shred” and “Puppet Parade”.

With the full release of the album coming days after “Puppet Parade” was debuted. Kicking off the album is their thrashy new song “Tipping Point”, the song gives you everything you would expect from Mustaine, from hefty riffs and godly shreds that we have come to know and love. The song is directly preceded by “I Don't Care”, a gritty and angsty song that is encompassed with a heavy riff and once again Mustaine’s shredding.

They whole group comes together to make this a well put together farewell for the band, Comprised of Dave Mustaine (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Teemu Mäntysaari (Rhythm and Acoustic Guitar), James LoMenzo (Bass Guitar) and Dirk Verberuen (Drums).

Megadeth will be taking their new album on tour across Canada in February 2026, accompanied by Anthrax, and Exodus, starting on February 15th in Victoria, BC and finishing in Quebec City, QC on March 6th.
