Jazmin Bean Takes Philadelphia by Storm

British alternative pop artist Jazmin Bean gave a memorable performance in Philadelphia, PA on their North American tour, celebrating the release of their debut album “Traumatic Livelihood”. The setlist contained an impressive 19 songs, which included the entirety of “Traumatic Livelihood”. With powerful vocals from Jazmin, stunning lighting and visuals, energetic melodies, fans gathering at Union Transfer would have an unforgettable evening.

To kick off the night, indie rock band The Noisy took the stage. The Philadelphia natives joined Jazmin for this date only, and they proved to be a perfect opening act for them. Led by vocalist and guitarist Sarah Mae, they put on a show that immersed the audience in heartfelt songs that many people in the crowd would be sure to connect to. The Noisy also performed a cover of Chappell Roan’s hit “Pink Pony Club”, invigorating the crowd before the headlining act and leaving a memorable impact as an opener.

About half an hour after The Noisy’s performance, the lights began to dim, raising the crowd’s excitement before Jazmin and their band walked onto the stage. Opening with the angry and fast-paced “Piggie”, the fans were quickly even more energized, enthusiastically singing along. Jazmin’s confident vocals kept everyone entranced as they continued performing tracks from “Traumatic Livelihood”.

About a third of the way through the set, Jazmin decided to switch things up, both thematically and melodically. Taking a break from performing “Traumatic Livelihood”, they performed the electronic-inspired “Hello Kitty”, whose punchy beats were a stark contrast to the softer tracks found in “Traumatic Livelihood”. They followed with another older track, “Yandere”, before they continued “Traumatic Livelihood” with “Charm Bracelet”.

Further into the set, Jazmin opened up to the crowd stating that the next two songs mean a lot to them and asked the audience to be silent, and went on to perform “Stockholm Butterfly” and “Black Dress”. Their emotion was palpable during these incredibly personal songs, and the whole crowd could feel it as they respectfully watched. Jazmin then gave a performance of “You Know What You’ve Done” and “Best Junkie You Adore”, revitalizing the crowd and having them sing along.

Towards the end of the set, the audience cheered when Jazmin asked them one thing: “Do you like dogs?”. Jazmin then performed the fan-favorite “Puppy Pound”, and the entire venue was full of energy. Jazmin didn’t even have to sing the chorus; the fans did the work for them by screaming the lyrics as Jazmin pointed the mic to them. Jazmin then performed the final two tracks off of “Traumatic Livelihood”, “Bitch With The Gun” and “The Blood Brings Colour and Fluoresce”, but that wasn’t the end; they surprised fans with “Saccharine”, a dynamic track that easily had the crowd singing and jumping, and definitely giving them a memorable end to the night.
