Joji Serenades The 3Arena In Dublin As He Plays First Gig In Ireland

Joji took to the stage for his Irish debut last night on the 11th of August alongside Tommy Richman. This is following Joji’s release of his highly anticipated Album “Piss In The Wind”.

First to the stage was Tommy Richman, sporting a short but sweet set of 8 songs. As the lights fell the crowd roared and Tommy took the stage with the rest of his band mates. Opening with his song Changes. After playing a couple more songs in the form of “SAN ANDREAS” and “DEVIL IS A LIE”, the crowd were well and truly riled up for what more was to come. As Tommy’s short set came to an end, the crowd were treated to his hit single “MILLION DOLLAR BABY”. Overall, Tommy rocked the stadium with his set, which only led to more anticipation for the main act.

As the lights dimmed once again, the crowd was deafening, the buildup to Joji taking the stage was immense and as he walked out the crowd erupted. With his calm, No F’s Given attitude he blasted straight into his song “PIXELATED KISSES”. The energy from the band, the crowd and Joji was electric, and it set the precedent for what would come next.

Early on in his set, Joji dropped a surprise song with “Glimpse of Us” being only his 6th on the setlist. The stadium spoke volumes with each and every person joining in to sing with him. After playing “Glimpse of Us”, we got to see the first of 5 interludes that would break up the show to allow Joji to rest. Each interlude was split up by a performance of 5 songs back to back, with the show flowing continuously as Joji pushed to play his monstrous 25 song setlist.

Rounding out the show, We heard “Die For You”, which had fans thinking the show was over before they took back to the stage to play an encore of two more songs, those being “1AM FREESTYLE” and of course “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK”. It was such a beautiful way to round off the set as the fans relished in what they had just witnessed.

All in the, it was an energetic but emotional evening with both acts, and one to not forget as we hope Joji reuters to the Emerald Isle again soon.
