On Friday, January 16th, 2026- Genevieve Hannelius Releases Her Debut EP 'GIRLHOOD'. To celebrate the release of this EP, Hannelius shares with fans a brand new music video for "THE WOODS", which is a single off the EP. “The world of the GIRLHOOD EP is dreamy, nostalgic, and highlights the inner chaos and conflict of girls in their 20-somethings. Still feeling like a child, but technically being an adult. Wanting to be sexy and grown-up, but also craving the comforts of childhood. Bringing a boy home and taking the stuffed animals off of your bed. The dichotomy of smoking cigarettes and blowing bubbles. Feeling like a constant contradiction. Girlhood is the fluidity of self and how you want to present to the world. Changing your style every week, experimenting with your hair and makeup- trying on different versions of “you”. It’s frustrating, confusing, and when you stop to look at it, beautiful too.”
