Can You See Her New Single On Streaming?: Ashnikko Drops ‘Itty Bitty’

American rapper and singer-songwriter Ashnikko has become this internet icon, building up a discography of viral tracks and establishing her iconic branding of bright blue pigtails and crude lyrics. If you think you don’t know her, I’d suggest checking her top streamed songs, with ‘STUPID’, ‘Daisy’, ‘Slumber Party’, and most recently ‘Paint The Town Blue’ for the Arcane soundtrack being sure to ring some bells.

Although Ashnikko is known for her experimental sounds, combining the common alternative sounds with trap, while including a little sprinkle of electronic elements along the way, her newest single Itty Bitty strays away from this, becoming more genre-bound. Itty Bitty is a bumpy dance track, pulling inspiration from the resurgence of dance-pop and club music we’ve been seeing since Charli xcx released brat last June.

While the runtime of Itty Bitty is only 2:42, the production by Slinger makes the track feel longer than it actually is. Through the consistent switch-ups from bouncing and clinking synths, to deep rumbling basslines, and the addition of clap-based rising buildups, it’s easy to lose yourself within the music.

Even with the chorus and pre-chorus remaining unchanged and dominating most of the track, it does not feel inherently repetitive due to the drastic differences within each chunk of the song. This diversity is what makes Itty Bitty a fun track to listen to, helping it capture the perfect grungy, messy, club essence.

Rather than having a traditional release roll-out, Itty Bitty had its debut as a live performance during Ashnikkos's opening set for Billie Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour’ back in December at the Kia Forum. To accompany the performance, Ashnikko wore a custom shirt that said “Itty Bitty”, and of course, a tiny ruffled skirt. Itty Bitty remained part of the setlist during Ashnikko’s opening act on the Australian leg of the tour, much to the dismay of many parents in the audience.

Between the Kia Forum shows and the Australian leg, Ashnikko released a studio clip of the track, revealing the intro and main chorus: “Can you see my p*ssy? Can you see my ass when I bend over? Yeah? Okay, good // Itty bitty, teeny tiny, little slutty skirt, I like to put it on every time my heart hurt”. While these lyrics became pivotal to the promotion of the track, they also became memorable with fans, with all of them dying to know what would follow up the small snippet.

Personally, the lyrics that had me floored were “I tuck my lip-gloss in my boot, bitch, I am here to work”. There was something about the power, sass, and pure confidence of the delivery that left me mouth agape as if Ashnikko had just snapped her fingers in my face before stepping on me with her platform boot. Another memorable lyric was teased on Ashnikko’s tank top on a post back in December. The bright red block text read “DJ Me ‘Til I’m Numb”, a lyric sung at the end of the second verse.

Itty Bitty is possibly the first single off Ashnikko’s upcoming album, which is rumoured to be “getting really slutty”, being inspired by the singer's want to “wear little skirts that almost show hole”. Though there is no official release date for the album yet, we’re expecting it to drop sometime towards the end of 2025, we’ll be keeping a close eye out for updates.

You stream Itty Bitty on all platforms as of March 21st, or pre-order an exclusive 4” vinyl on Ashnikko’s store here
