UNDER A SIEGE: SNOW STRIPPERS ELECTRIFY SAINT ANDREWS HALL, DETROIT

Detroit duo Snow Strippers truly electrified Saint Andrews Hall on January 18, 2026. This tour spanned entirely across North America, and concluded March 1.

First up for the night was Anna Luna. Her music blends the genres of electronic, dreampop, and electronica. She is associated with the Michigan underground scene, and started sharing her music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp. Her performance was immersive, giving the audience an intimate experience that connected them to her music.

Seamlessly transitioning into the next set, EERA, an electronic solo artist, took the stage. EERA’s set captivated the crowd. The bass shook the entirety of Saint Andrews Hall, preparing them for what lies ahead. The crowd was incredibly engaged, letting the music carry them throughout the performance.

With the night well under way, Snow Strippers took the stage. Opening up with one of their most popular songs, ‘Just Your Doll’, there was not a body standing still. The energy pulsed through the venue, the crazy strobe lights a reflection of the intensity of their performance. That night, the photographers had the privilege of photographing them for the first 30 minutes, compared to the industry standard of the first three songs. Being able to witness Snow Strippers that close, for that long was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Throughout their set, they played many of their cult-classic songs, such as ‘Aching Like It’s’, ‘Under a Siege’, ‘So What If I’m a Freak’, and ‘Almost a Threat’.

Overall, this show was mind-blowing, and genuinely one of my favorite shows I have had the pleasure of photographing. Snow Strippers have a demanding stage presence, giving fans exactly what they paid for; while also leaving them hungry for next time they perform.
