Tidals, a band formed in Detroit, Michigan in 2025, will be releasing their debut EP, When Silence Comes on October 17th. This EP proves to be reminiscent of heavy metal, nu metal, and alternative rock, perfect for listeners of a wide variety of genres. Currently the song Gone Silent is available to stream exclusively via their website, which gives us a relentless taste of what remains on the EP. You can listen to that song here.
This release is important to the metal community as, as the band was formerly Chronic Groove and Camp Element, but have rebranded themselves as Tidals; which has opened for cult-classic artists and performed at large festivals, such as the Vans Warped Tour. This brings a level of maturity and experience to present itself within their music.
As all founding members have evolved their music within the Pittsburgh and Detroit scene, this new record proves to be something that people of the scene should keep on their radar. Additionally, Tidals will be performing at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Michigan for their debut show with Post Eden, and Lie. Purchase tickets for this event here.
