Imminence presents: "The Black (live at Ystads Theatre)"
Sweden metal kings Imminence fresh off their UA headlining tour have released a live version of the title track off their recent album "The Black “ released April 12th of this year, performed at historic Ystads Theatre. This band has been making waves the last few years, but I'm relatively new to the scene so when anther band I wanted to see opened for them in Seattle I had no idea how lucky I was to have a photo pass. My interest peaked when I saw Eddie jog on stage violin in hand. Seeing this band is an experience in it of itself, but this recently released performance featuring a full string quartet is totally next level. The bands' ability to create these complex arrangements, makes them stand out among their peers as a a hugely innovative powerhouse that shows no signs of slowing. This live video followed A second release of "death by a thousand cuts " featuring Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence and a slew of other well-received videos of live performances proving their music is best enjoyed live and I couldn't agree more. In addition to their US tour, the band has been traveling and appearing at festivals all over Europe, some In support of metal core superstars bring me the horizon.
About the theatre : opening in 1894, this historic Swedish theater houses over 200 performances a year. A prominent and unique feature of the theatre is their combination of old and new stage machinery allowing for both old and contemporary performances . In addition, the theater houses a large collection of stage sets painted by famous artist: Carl Ludvig Grabow. This marriage of the past and future suits the band and I can’t wait for when they do next.
