On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Pardyalone made his Omaha stop on his “Back of the Class Tour” at The Waiting Room Lounge. The venue of the show is known for its intimate and cozy atmosphere. The Waiting Room Lounge also has a very cool history and an extensive list of legends who have performed there during their careers.

The first opening act was Jon Wiilde. Jon Wiilde is an emerging artist who has a very unique sound that was able to win me over very fast. It’s a cool mix of hip-hop and indie rock, and it even has some emo influence. Jon took time in between his songs to speak to the crowd and talk to them about his own experiences, and would give some background to what some of his songs are about. He had such good energy that it made him feel like a friend to everyone who was in attendance. His performance was very heartfelt, but still a lot of fun. All around amazing opening act to start the night. Jon Wiilde also plays as Pardyalone’s guitarist.
Next up was Austin George. Austin is also a newer artist to step into the music scene. His music is phenomenal, and he put on such a great performance. He is also another artist with a unique sound, but a lot of his music is more in the indie rock space. But he also gives off some hip-hop influences in some of his songs. His songs remind me a lot of Dominic Fike, which is a great thing. The energy from his performance was one of the best I have ever seen. He also took a lot of time to engage with the crowd and keep the mood fun and lighthearted, even though most of his songs are emotional. Also, his guitarist was Max Toth, who is pretty popular online for his style and his abilities on the guitar. He was feeding the crowd and was filled with energy, I have actually never seen anybody with more energy than this guy. He was running around and jumping all over the place while still playing guitar; it was amazing. All of these factors made this set one of the most memorable I’ve seen so far!
I had the opportunity to meet Austin after his set, and we talked for a few minutes. He was a really cool guy, and I’m very excited to see where music takes him and to listen to his releases in the future. He quickly won me over, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to his music since his show.
Then, it was time for the main act. The Minnesota-native rapper and singer brought a very emotionally charged and energetic performance. The crowd was going crazy for him and he kept their attention throughout the entirety of his set. His setlist consisted of his latest songs as well as some of his older songs from the last few years. He did a really good job of transitioning songs as well as interacting with fans throughout the set. His vocals were amazing and the venue did an amazing job with the lighting and keeping that “moody” vibe. His songs dive into the topics of love, loss, loneliness, and self-doubt. He made the crowd feel very special with his songs and how he would talk about the origins of some of the songs. During his upbeat tracks, the energy of the crowd was crazy. Everyone was jumping around and waving their arms. Pardyalone has songs with some amazing people like Travis Barker and Arden Jones, so it was very cool to hear those songs live. Pardyalone’s performance was a very memorable one because of how moody but still fun it was. He kept the mood light and fun even during his sad songs. Also, his production of his songs is so cool and feels fresher than a lot of music.
All around the whole show was a lot of fun and it felt like all of the performers genuinely love what they do and were so happy to be there surrounded by their fans. They are all young and hungry artists so it was such a good experience to see them at this point in their careers.
