Outside Lands is coming back to Golden Gate Park this August, and the 2025 lineup might be one of the most diverse and exciting the festival’s pulled off in years. Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, and Hozier are headlining. They’re three completely different vibes, and yet it works. Tyler was supposed to play last year but dropped out, so having him back on the lineup this time feels like a long awaited moment for fans. Add in acts like Vampire Weekend, Glass Animals, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, and Jamie xx, and you’ve got a weekend that has everything from indie rock to pop to rave.
But as always, it’s not just about the big names that makes Outside Lands so great. One of the best things is how it sneaks in smaller artists who end up becoming fan favorites. Still Woozy’s set will be a must, and Destroy Boys always bring the kind of energy that makes people dance. Claude VonStroke and Floating Points will be deep in the electronic zone, and local artists like LaRussell and Midrift keep the Bay Area heart beating throughout the weekend. Even the SF Gay Men’s Chorus is teaming up with Big Freedia this year, which just feels so perfectly San Francisco.
And then there’s the food. Outside Lands doesn’t mess around when it comes to vendors. Reem’s, Smish Smash, Piglet & Co., and so many others are back. Plus, there will be new pop-ups that somehow make even standing in line exciting. There's wine lands, beer lands, cheese lands, chocolate lands, anything you can think of. There’s even a cannabis garden now. Between the food, the music, and all the art scattered around the park, Outside Lands feels more like an experience than a concert. Call it whatever you want, but Outside Lands just does it better than the rest.
