Ninajirachi Celebrates A Monumental Year With A Frost Children Remix of 'F*ck My Computer'

Even after her major successes this year, you might still be unfamiliar with Australian songwriter, producer, and DJ Ninajirachi. Back in the beginning of August, she released her debut album, I Love My Computer, which quickly became critically acclaimed, earning Nina eight ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. She took home three trophies for Best Solo Artist, Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist, and Best Independent Release. Still, Nina’s trophy shelf keeps growing, as she also won Australian Album of the Year and Australian Video of the Year at the triple j J Awards, and the 2025 Australian Music Prize.

The critics aren’t the only ones eating up Ninajirachi right now, with her fans being as faithful as ever. After releasing I Love My Computer, Nina embarked on a fully sold-out headlining tour across North America, hitting major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. Her 2026 touring year looks like it’ll take a kindred form, with multiple dates of the second leg of the I Love My Computer North American tour already being sold out. On top of this, Ninajirachi will be making her Coachella debut this April, alongside playing Primavera Sound later in the year. To celebrate her absolute standout year, Ninajirachi has released an official remix of ‘F*ck My Computer’ from none other than Frost Children, a well-respected EDM duo who, too, in my opinion, have been having an absolute standout year. Considering the overlap and shared spaces between these artists, this remix doesn’t come as any surprise to me, especially considering that both Nina, Angel and Lulu have been not only breaking, but setting new boundaries for electronic music this year, completely generating these striking and unique sounds that somehow still hold the essence of nostalgia from older EDM.

What stands out about the ‘F*ck My Computer’ remix is how alive it sounds. Yes, at its core, you can hear the foundation that Nina set up. Her vocals never stray, everything is still high-frequency, and the track still sounds as if you’ve shoved your head into the motherboard of a computer (positively, of course). Yet, while you’re listening, you’re completely transported elsewhere, as if ‘F*ck My Computer’ has transcended itself and brought you along for the ride. Maybe I’ve been watching too many Frost Children DJ Sets on YouTube recently, but I swear, listening to this remix, you can almost imagine it being mixed right in front of you. You’re no longer listening to a studio version; you’re watching Angel and Lulu live and direct, standing behind a DJ deck with various blinding strobe lights surrounding them. It’s truly something electric.

Funny enough, this was not the first time some Ninajirachi (and Frost Children) fans had heard this remix, as it appears Nina was taking it out for a spin during her headlining tour earlier this fall. In my review of the show, I wrote: “It was only after the fact that I realized that Nina was not mixing a Frost Children track into her setlist on a whim, but instead was playing a Frost Children remix of ‘Fuck My Computer’. For some people, this meant nothing, but for me and the guy in front of me who shared equal excitement, this was worlds colliding. I cannot wait for this remix to hit SoundCloud.”  Well, the remix never hit SoundCloud (to my knowledge), but it is on streaming for you to listen to now.
