On October 25th, Sumerian Records released the “‘American Psycho’ Comic Series Soundtrack”, available on all streaming platforms HERE. Exclusive vinyl variants have also been released via the Sumerian Records Merch Store, available HERE

In honor of the new release, Weathers released their new, original song from the soundtrack “Killer”, produced and co-written by Max Urasky (Maggie Lindemann, Siiickbrain) and No Love For the Middle Child (Travis Barker, Grandson), and co-produced and mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Pantera). Stream “Killer” HERE and watch the music video HERE.

About the track, Weathers vocalist Cameron Boyer said:

'Killer' explores a dying relationship where you have been framed as a toxic villain, so you set out to kill this connection before falling victim to it, all the while, you just can’t help but still love them... We are also flattered to be among the many talented and established artists on the soundtrack. American Psycho is a movie we all love very much so we couldn’t help recalling so many of its iconic scenes during this whole process.

The American Psycho comic series, released by Sumerian Comics, is a reimagining of Patrick Bateman’s infamous tale. The five-issue series explores a dual-storyline format: one focusing on the sadistic exploits of Bateman, and the other focusing on an original character Charlene Carruthers, an influencer-like millennial whose descent into madness mirrors the corruption of Bateman. This bold reinterpretation of the classic saga features a story written by Michael Calero (Quested), intricate artwork by Piotr Kowalski (The Witcher, Bloodborne, Sex), and vivid colors by Bra Simpson (Kong of Skull Island, Stray Dogs, Bladerunner Origins).

The soundtrack features many talented artists who breathed new life into classic songs, such as Diamante’s cover of Pat Benetar’s “Love is a Battlefield”, and Ice Nine Kill’s and Reel Big Fish’s ska-punk take on Katrina and the Waves’ hit “Walking on Sunshine”. Gvllow featuring Mothica took on Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face”, Charlotte Sands covered the AFI hit “Miss Murder”, Royal & the Serpent tackled Leadbelly’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?”, and Carpenter Brut feat. Kristoffer Rygg also put their own spin on Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face”. The soundtrack also includes original tracks, such as Puscifer’s “The Algorithm”. With such a varying tracklist, the “American Psycho Comic Series Soundtrack” is sure to appeal to rock fans everywhere. The singles from the soundtrack got 5.8 million streams combined, with current sales for the comic series being about 80,000 units.

President of Sumerian Comics, Nathan Yocum commented on the soundtrack:

"We’re thrilled to put out the full American Psycho Comic Series soundtrack today, a vibrant release shaped by some of the most talented artists in the industry today. This project captures the spirit of creative collaboration, with each track amplifying the energy and atmosphere of American Psycho in bold, unexpected ways. It’s not just a soundtrack—it’s an immersive experience that pulls listeners deeper into the dark, electrifying world this series creates."
