Make Them Suffer Drop Jaw Dropping New Single "Mana God"

On October 10th, 2024, Aussies Make Them Suffer just released a brand new single titled "Mana God" via Greyscale Records. Fans can expect to hear similarities to "Epitaph" as well as "Oscillator". The song delivers raw energy with a blend of deathcore and some electro music. Make Them Suffer is expected to drop their self titled album on November 8th which you should totally pre-save! Make Them Suffer consists of members Sean Harmanis (vocals), Nick McLernon (guitar), Jaya Jeffery (bass), and Jordan Mather (drums) and Alex Reade (keys, backing vocals). Since the release of single "Doomswitch", that was when they welcomed Reade to the band.

Okay now onto the music video for this song... one thing I noticed was Sean Harmanis' (vocals) new haircut! Not going to lie, it kind of gives Bad Omens vibes as well as a throwback to the 90's haircut. This absolutely threw me off since I am so used to this man having long hair. But anyways enough talking about the drastic haircut he has... can we talk about how absolutely incredible it is to hear how smooth and how well put together the vocals between Sean and Alex's vocals are? I've heard her screams in the the older songs and I am still surprised with such remarkable talent this woman has. This song screams absolute chaos and I couldn't be anymore happy about it.

According to vocalist Sean Harmanis, "There is a fine line to tread when discussing a song like 'Mana God' without sounding like a crazed conspiracy theorist...I feel we've now reached a point in time where the systems of control in our day-to-day lives are both present and obvious to most rational minds. Despite this, having conversations about topics like this are becoming increasingly difficult and are often considered inflammatory."

He continues..."'Mana God' is a song about control. The control that the media can have over our thoughts and views. The control that religious organisations can have over people's lives. The level of control that governments are able to enforce and most importantly the control that we are often held under by our own technological devices and their algorithms... most people today would know at least one or many who have been driven to the brink of madness by the echo chamber of their phone or computer. I notice many of these people being shunned, ostracised from their communities and held prisoner by their own confirmation bias, force-fed to them through their phones. I don't see the people as the issue, rather the devices, for the breakdown of human connection....'Mana God,' to me, is a call to action, to break away from the current systems of control and return to a space where communication and human connection are nurtured and encouraged."
