The name “Gojira” was once spoken exclusively within the metal community, is now recognized worldwide, thanks to their legendary perforce at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. They were the first ever metal band to play an opening ceremony. It’s almost hard to believe the band has been churning out albums since 1996. 2026 mark the 20 year anniversary of one of the band’s most iconic albums “From Mars to Sirius”. The band was involved with every stage of the albums creation from recording to mastering as they strived toward their goal of an “irreproachable” sound. The album’s theme is rooted in environmental issues and tells a story of the rebirth of a dead planet. Rolling Stone has ranked the album among the 100 greatest metal albums of all time.
In celebration of the anniversary of the 2005 release, Listenable records has launched a limited deluxe edition: a double gatefold zoetrope picture disc featuring exclusive , never-before-seen band photos. The First Edition of 3000 worldwide copies.
