Kesha Releases Remixes of Her Third Single 'YIPPEE-KI-YAY'

Kesha has been loudly embracing 2025 as her year of independence, already releasing her third single off ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ off her upcoming album . (Period) releasing July 4th, via her very own Kesha Records. On May 9th, the iconic popstar took a pit stop during her album rollout to surprise fans with YIPPEE-KI-YAY (The Remixes). The small collection adds two new variants of ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ to Kesha’s discography, and you can listen to them HERE.

For the first remix, Kesha recruited legendary record producer A.G. Cook, who is known beyond his solo projects and performances for his production work with Charli xcx, Caroline Polachek, Tommy Cash, and others. The duo first performed their collab in the Indio Desert during A.G. Cook’s Weekend 2 Coachella Performance. Similarly to the drop of the remixes, Kesha’s performance came as a complete surprise, stepping out of a green and pink coloured phone booth to take the stage and perform.

A.G. Cook brought his raw talent with remixing the track, creating a strong balance between the country-pop layout that the initial ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ had, and adding in these gloopy, bouncy, and futuristic dance-pop elements. Although a remix is always meant to be sonically different, the ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY - A.G. Cook Remix’ is unique in a general sense, well worth the listen.

The second remix is called ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY (The Hosed Down Remix)’. It follows a slightly more traditional format for a remix, altering the backing instrumental but keeping the vocal performance the same. If you’re looking for a light summer track to throw on your poolside DJ playlist, the ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY (The Hosed Down Remix)’ is the song for you.

This summer, you’ll have the opportunity to hear ‘YIPPEE-KI-YAY’ live during Keshas ‘Tits Out Tour’. Her tour will start its run on July 1st in Utah, where Kesha will perform songs off . (Period), before they even release, and continue on through August 10th, where she’ll close off the headlining tour in Florida. She’ll be bringing along glam-pop legends Scissor Sisters for the entire run, with Slayyyter and Rose Gray on support for select dates.
