January 16 — LA-based rising rock star Kami Kehoe released a reimagined cover of “Sex on Fire,” a classic Kings of Leon tune four years in the making. Arriving via Atlantic Records, Coup D’État Records, and 10K Projects, the new cover transforms the original song into a slower, darker version more befitting of Kehoe’s style. Raspy vocals, pounding drums, and an atmosphere so thick you can cut it with a knife deliver exactly what fans have been yearning for since her live performances and social media teasers.
2025 shaped up to be a huge year for Kami. She was named a Pandora “Artist to Watch” for 2026, can be heard regularly on SiriusXM’s Octane, and finished out the year with a successful nationwide tour supporting Seether, Daughtry, and P.O.D.
Kehoe remarks, “Starting 2026 with this release feels really special to me. I actually started working on my cover of “SEX ON FIRE” 4 years ago, and the way fans connect with it has never left my mind. It feels really good to finally give it a proper release and let this version live in the world. I’ve been pouring everything into new music, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what’s next.”
Kehoe will be kicking off 2026 in a big way, starting with a headline show at The Roxy in Los Angeles on February 19. She’s also tapped to appear at WMMR’s MMRBQ in New Jersey, supporting the likes of Alice Cooper and Godsmack, as well as Rock Fest Wisconsin, alongside acts such as Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and The Offspring.
Fans who can’t attend in person can catch Kehoe featured in the Winter edition of Revolver Magazine and pre-order her 'Kandy' EP, her very first vinyl pressing — a Revolver-exclusive limited to 500 copies
