Halestorm X I Prevail Release Collaborative Single In Anticipation of Their Co-Headling Tour

Halestorm and I Prevail are far from new to the scene and the release of their new single together “can you see me in the dark?” Is just another example of how they are dominating.  Grammy award- winning Halestorm has long been a staple in the metal scene, 2027 will mark the band’s 30th active year. Originating from Red Lion, PA members Lizzy Hale, Arejay Hale, Joe Hottinger, and Josh Smith have been known to put on 250 shows a year. Hale was also named the first female brand ambassador of Gibson guitars. The band recently released their 5th studio album: Back from the Dead which has amassed over 100 million streams and according to Associated Press,  the album "will definitely be in the running for best hard rock/metal album of the year."  Halestorm is a band  that has represented hard rock for years and I feel that I Prevail has become a representative of the current scene.  I prevail began in Southfield, MI in 2013 and quickly gained popularity following the release of their debut album , Heart Vs. Mind featuring their cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Spaces".

I Prevail has gained a ton of traction in the last few years. In 2019, the band received 2 grammy nominations for their album Trauma. They also put on one of the best live shows I’ve been too. A track between the two powerhouses could do no wrong.  The song is a tad more Halestorm than I prevail in my opinion, but you can never hear too much Lizzy Hale.  The majority of the song features Lizzie Hale’s signature vocals, heavy riffs, and an almost dance- like beat with I Prevails Brian and Eric providing background vocals.  At first listen, it seems like a pretty classic song for the 2 bands, very good, but not particularly different from other great songs in the genre. However, the breakdown was instantly one of my favorites. You will not be ready in the best way. In my opinion, I prevail is one of the most successful bands putting out genre bending music in the industry. Mixing the 2 styles while staying true to both bands was essential and they did an excellent job. The single was released along with the announcement of the 2 bands co-headling tour. Support comes from Fit For a King and Hollywood Undead. The tour kicks off on July 7th in Raleigh, NC and concludes on August 17th in Las Vegas.
