Freedom, protest and community were the main topics of Grandson’s performance in Utrecht, Netherlands. Two nights of absolute chaos on stage and in the crowd.

Before Grandson and his band came out on stage, “Killing in the name” by Rage Against The Machine blasted on full volume, to bring up the heat in the room. It created the perfect moment for Grandson to come out on stage and begin this dynamic, truthful and adrenalin rushing performance.
Wearing a black hoodie and combat boots, Grandson began to deliver each line of the “AUTONOMOUS DELIVERY ROBOT” with force and meaning. The track list that followed contained twenty four songs. It included the cover of Bob Dylan’s 'Masters of War' and the entirety of the Inertia album. And of course, Blood// Water that made the audience erupt and sing along, releasing all the emotional build up.
There were so many amazing moments that happened throughout the night. Enormous mosh pits, guitarist and bassist jumping into the crowd, Grandson himself going up the stairs and throwing himself into the arms of the audience. The finale of the show turned into a security nightmare, but also became the most unforgettable part of the night: Grandson invited everyone to join him, and within minutes the stage was filled with eager fans.
It was a vibrant and powerful night that will stay in the memory of each and every audience member.
