With Redial, Catch Your Breath reimagines their hit single "Dial Tone," their first release since their long-awaited debut album, Shame On Me, which was released on October 20. This song is a follow-up to Shame On Me, the band's long-awaited debut album. Among the tracks featured on Shame On Me are "Dying On The Inside," "No Evil," "Savages," and "21 Gun Salute." The album also includes the critically acclaimed single "Dial Tone" and their fan-favorite title track.
Catch Your Breath is a quartet that is based from Austin, Texas. The band is composed of members vocalist Joshua Mowery, drummer Onell Hernandez, bassist Cianan Madigan and lastly guitarist Logan Abernethy.Â
Lead vocalist Josh Mowery provides crisp and clean melodies throughout, creating a unique rendition while paying homage to the original beloved song. The band reinvents the song, taking it out of its original rock form and focusing on a new haunting atmosphere.
"When "Dial Tone" was released, we knew it was a great song but never had any clue it was going to do what it did. That song changed our lives, plain and simple. The support we have received over the last two years since its release has been nothing short of incredible and we wanted to do something cool for our fans as a way to say thank you! So we present to you, REDIAL. We hope you like it as much as we do.
-Catch Your Breath
At its core, "Dialtone (Redial)" addresses human emotion in its complexities. Songs exploring the highs and lows of relationships are raw and unflinchingly honest, exploring themes of love, loss, and longing. Whether it's the ache of yearning for a lost connection or the thrill of rediscovery, the song captures the full spectrum of human experience with nuance and depth. Fans are able to relate to this song as some are able to feel the emotional stress you may face when someone is walking away, exiting your life without clarifying why. Mowery's vocals throughout this track you can feel those emotions and those struggles that were faced at some point in life; especially in the chorus. Whenever I saw Catch Your Breath live, I've always seen people around me feel emotional and scream their lungs out once the chorus hits. It's overall a beautiful song, lyrically and instrumentally.
