Alien Ant Farm Take Aim at Toxic Relationships With New Single Gaslighter
Alien Ant Farm are back with a new single, Gaslighter. The cut throat rock anthem calls out liars, manipulators and toxic relationships, delivering a message that many listeners will find familiar.
Gaslighter is a heavy hitter from start to finish, driven by loud, pounding drums and an in your face rock sound. The song takes you through the process of picking apart a gaslighter’s lies and trying to figure out who they really are. The line “I’m finding every secret, I don’t know who you are” captures the feeling of realizing someone you thought you knew might not be the person you believed them to be. Vocalist Dryden Mitchell explains: “With hints of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine, we wrote a razor-edged gem that calls out the liars and manipulators in our lives. Do the ones we love the most end up burning us all in the end? This anthem rocks steadily and races toward a hopeful resolution. Light the fuses and burn all the liars!”
Gaslighter is set to be featured in Stage Tour, a new rhythm-action game from RedOctane Games, set to release on December 10. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Read more about Stage Tour here.
