Year of the Knife Is Back! Announces Comeback Show At New England Metal And Hardcore Fest!

It was just four weeks ago that New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, the northeast‘s biggest metal festival, announced their massive 2024 lineup and now it’s only gotten better. The festival has just announced the addition of the Delaware - based, straight-edge hardcore powerhouse Year of the Knife. This marks the band’s first ever appearance since their horrific van accident in the summer 0f 2023. The band is set to appear on Night 1 alongside Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, After The Burial, Converge, Incendiary and many more.

In the summer of 2023, Year of the Knife was on tour with Creeping Death when tragedy struck on June 28th. The band was involved in a terrible accident while leaving Salt Lake City, Utah that left vocalist Madi Watkins in critical condition with serious head injuries while the rest of the band suffered other traumas. After a long and difficult road, Watkins has finally made a full recovery, paving the way for the band’s return to the stage and what better way than to have their comeback at the legendary New England Metal & Hardcore Festival?

On October 28th, the band released their third studio album No Love Lost via Pure Noise Records and is 20 minutes of the band in it‘s pure aggressive form. All pre-orders and album purchases went straight to the band to cover the costs of all of their medical bills and expenses.

It’s been a long and strenuous road for Year Of The Knife but the band is back and is ready to melt faces and bring chaos and New England Metal & Hardcore is only the first stop on their return.
