The band laid down their killer tracks with the talented Matt Marquez from Norma Jean and then swapped tracklists with the awesome metal band FallFiftyFeet.
Since its establishment, the dynamic Michigan-based band has utilized innovative and unconventional musical guerrilla campaign tactics, paired with an unwavering do-it-yourself work ethic. Their remarkable approach has propelled them to secure coveted spots at renowned nationwide festivals and embark on an extensive tour across the UK. In addition, they have garnered significant acclaim and attention from leading publications in the metal music scene, including Metal Hammer, Brooklyn Vegan, and New Noise Magazine.
In regard to the new EP, Wounded Touch expressed, "During a period of anticipation between releases, we found ourselves delving into songwriting to explore new sounds, driven by the novelty of experimenting with new pedals and unconventional tunings. As a result, we crafted a few tracks and took the opportunity to collaborate with Matt Marquez from Norma Jean, who graciously offered to record us at his newly established studio. After discussions with FallFiftyFeet, with whom we had an ongoing dialogue, we collectively agreed to produce a split, as they also possessed two unreleased tracks. The artwork, artfully crafted by Arif from Wormrot, served to unify the entire project. Despite being dubbed a 'dead format', the decision to release a CD version was made in response to the numerous requests we received while on the road. The culmination of these efforts gave rise to the release of 'Traumatic Entanglement'

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a well-known name in the music scene for quite some time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After changing ownership several times and brainstorming various ideas on what it should be, they decided to establish a record label in 2016 with the primary focus of reissuing records that have been out of print or never released on vinyl. As passionate vinyl enthusiasts themselves, their first releases included Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, but they have since expanded to signing newer bands. They strive for a balanced approach, releasing music from both established bands and up-and-coming artists, reissuing older titles, and collaborating with other labels in the scene to produce exclusive color variants of their releases.
