On March 8, Whitechapel released their latest full length album, Hymns In Dissonance and the band has been busy ever since. They just concluded a U.S. tour in support of the album, and are currently touring the album over in Europe. They’re about to get even busier, as the Tennessee-based band announces the “Rituals of Hate” U.S. Tour, performing their latest album in full.
The tour begins on November 12 in Norfolk, Virginia. It concludes with their tenth annual Christmas show in Knoxville, Tennessee. What says holly and jolly more than “Hate Cult Ritual”? That’s how I’d rather spend my holiday regardless.
Hymns In Dissonance is the band’s chance to reinvent themselves in a heavier manner. “We attempted to write our heaviest album to date,” says guitarist Alex Wade. “We wanted to put out something that was shockingly menacing and brutal.” They’ve certainly done just that, and put out an album that I know I have been listening to over and over again.
