Twin Temple has remained for years and years to be one of the most unique and standout rock and roll bands in modern music. Blending a vintage vibe of rockabilly and psychobilly, and contrasting that with all sorts of dark and satanic undertones creates the one of a kind act that they are today. The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles is a perfect venue to house what this band brings to the table. It’s a building that’s been around since the 1930s, and while it may now be Live Nation owned, they have managed to maintain the vintage look and aesthetic that that building is known for.
The structure is a tall 12 story silhouette covered in a washed shade of emerald. The building hunches over the Koreatown neighborhood and looks right out of a Batman movie perfectly fitting in with the fictional Gotham City. The marquee remains to be an old school sign with stick on letters, and will hopefully forever remain that way as opposed to being swapped with an LED billboard. The neon sign brings a certain vibe and looks through the LA neighborhood like no other place does. The bottom floor belongs to the theater and has housed at one point or another just about every single major artist you can possibly think of. It has a rough capacity of 2200, and this coming Halloween night, Twin Temple will bring their dark vibes there like perhaps no other band has done before.
While they may have a lot to live up to given the last few years of artists that have played there on Halloween night (Paramore in 2022, Bullet For My Valentine in 2023, and La Santa Cecilia in 2024), this night is for sure to be a historic night in the bands history as well as the venues history. In support of love, equality, and unity, a dollar from each ticket will be donated to the Christopher Street West Association, a non profit foundation that produces the LA Pride Festival in support of LGBTQ+ rights and community programming.
In addition, Twin Temple is also offering what they are dubbing as the ‘Blood Baptism VIP Meet And Bleeds’. This ritual will include a blood baptism performed by the duo, a commemorative photo with the duo post-initiation, a personal item of one's choosing to be signed by the band, and a setlist of the performance for the night.
