Since 2021. Trivium has been quiet on the new music front. They released their tenth full length album, In the Court of the Dragon. Since then, they have been touring the world and living their best lives. On August 7th, Trivium released their latest single, “Bury Me With My Screams” and released the music video, which you can watch here! In addition to the single, the band announced they will release their EP Struck Dead on Halloween.
In the video, you see the band constructing the hangar they purchased into a music studio. It switches between the construction and the band performing the song in the finalized build. The lyrics for the song are shown at the bottom of the screen as well.
When asked about the build of the hangar, bassist Paolo Gregoletto stated, “In 2023, we decided it was finally time to take the next step with The Hangar space we purchased — it was time to turn it into a full studio. We brought in designer Roger D'Arcy, thanks to an introduction from Mark Lewis, and set out on a year-long build. While construction was underway, we were deep in rehearsals for The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour, celebrating Ascendancy's 20th anniversary. What started as an idea to release one single during the tour quickly grew into two, then three, as we kept writing while we were waiting for the build-out to be completed."
Although Trivium haven’t been writing new music, fans can be assured that they did not change their sound by any means. This song is quintessential Trivium, with Heafy’s signature screams and the band’s signature riffs. This might be a hot take, but this might be their best work since The Sin and the Sentence. While this is just an EP, I am excited to see the two other songs that Trivium come out with on Halloween.

The EP has a traditional art style, which I also really enjoy. The tracklisting is as follows:
STRUCK DEAD EP TRACK LISTING:
"Bury Me With My Screams"
"Struck Dead (Pain Is Easier To Remember)"
"Six Walls Surround Me"
